Anne-Sofie Lindgaard

Danish writer-director based in London.

NFTS Graduate with a master’s in Directing Fiction.

One of Promonews’ Best New Directors of 2023 and winner of a silver Young Director Award in Cannes for her film Backseat.

Has directed short films recognised internationally. Her acclaimed short Icelandic Poppies was shortlisted for the prestigious Robert Award, the Danish equivalent of the BAFTAs, and won Best International Short at both the Manchester Film Festival and the British Short Film Festival.

Has directed the likes of Honor Swinton Byrne (The Souvenir), Herbert Nordrum (The Worst Person in the World, Sense & Sensibility), Rory Fleck-Byrne (In Camera, LOLA), and Lewin Lloyd (His Dark Materials) in her short films, and Orla Gartland and Marika Hackman in her music promo work.
